One of the most common mistakes homeowners make are getting an estimate directly from a contractor without a set of plans. These estimates are often full of omissions and can cost the owner over-inflated change orders and delays.
This is why it is important to create a plan as a written scope of work first and then collect estimates to see how it compares to your budget.
We are a full service firm that provides all the architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing drawing as required in order to obtain a permit!
STEP #1
Schematic Design Drawings
The first step in any project is code research and programming. We must ensure that all design restrictions and customer requirements are understood before continuing. Once we have this information, we can begin drawing.
Once your drawing is complete, you will now have a written scope of work in which you can show a contractor to get a rough price. If the project falls within your budget, great, we can proceed to the next steps. If it falls over your budget don’t worry, we can modify the design as needed to bring down the cost.
Once the scope of work has been established and falls within your budget, the last phase are the construction drawings. These are the technical engineering drawings which will include the technical information you need in to obtain a permit . We will work with during the duration of the entire project to ensure the plans are being followed and if you have any questions.
